Guest guest
I got the addresses and the email for ostomy org. and I sent you a thank you did you get it? If not I am so sorry. I really appreciate it and wrote you are my angel. I was in great distress when he called for ice to stop the bleeding. I am still in reaction mode instead of action mode. I wonder if that feeling of great anticipation of crisis will ever let up. It has just been so heavy a load when i can't do much except be prepared for the what's next. After hearing what Ami and so many others are experiencing I feel very weak. You are always there for me and so many others I can't tell you how much I LOVE YOU! Bob..I told him what the lady said who does the newletter and has retired from being a ostomy nurse but still is very involved. She said he should be evaluated by the current nurse she worked very closely with to see if there are products or appliances that could help at the moment and in the future. The point being there have been great advancements in this field. He refuses to go and says he will deal with it as he has in the past. She did give me a real piece of news about the appliances Bob uses: she and the other nurses have fought repeatedly with ins. co.s and got them to acknowledge that the appliances are prothesis (sp) and gotten them to pay for most of the cost. This added expense has gotten to be a choice of paying the utilities, taxes, etc. or buying the equipment and meds.l I am praying to make it to 65 so we can get medicare and cut some of the expense. There I go again whinning. How is Ken? He is so lucky to have you. Fondly, Dee Dee Vinovich, GRITraders Realty721 W. Guest guest
I didn’t get your reply and was worried something was BADDDD wrong and worried that Bob might be in the hospital. Glad to hear he isn’t. Happy to be of some help, it sounds like the woman you spoke to might be your real angel. Aren’t insurance companies totally insane? They dish out money for the surgery, but refuse to pay for any follow-up needs. Don’t worry about Bob, he sounds like most other men. Why read instructions if you can get the job done the old fashion way. One thing for sure, if he really needs help, he’ll break down and ask for it. Glad everything turned out, Barb in Texas
Guest guest
Hospital! He was screaming last night about the last two bills. The one where The attic ladder fell on his head and I called an ambulance and the ins. co refused to pay anything since the EMT said it was not life threatening . SHIT how was I to know.
