Guest guest
Lucian, I hope you get to read this. Maybe someone else will get to pass it on to you, or maybe one of your girls will see it. My heart is sorely aching tonight with the sad news about your sweet Joyce. I so wish she could have been at home, but it is a blessing that she wasn't in pain and passed away in her sleep. I know this past year has been a terrible struggle for her and for you. You have truly been a pillar of strength, tenderness, and patience. I know I speak for everyone when I offer my deepest condolences to you and your three daughters and grandchildren. I pray for strength and comfort for you all during this time of loss. Joyce was a special child of God, and hopefully her family knows how much she meant to all of us on this board. She was so loved. It's hard to imagine our air family without Joyce. Lucian, after spending so long taking good care of Joyce, I hope you can remember that now you need to take good care of yourself. You have to be exhausted, and I speak from experience that grieving is exhausting too. I have nothing but respect for you in the way you lovingly and generously treated your wife - you're a good man and Joyce adored you. If you ever need to vent to anyone here, please do. We'd like to be there for you just as Joyce was there for all of us. I will always treasure the cards, love, and prayers Joyce sent me before, during and after my transplant. She was a special friend whom I'll never forget... ever. God bless you. There is a special angel in heaven tonight. God's peace and many blessings, Gwynne Single-lung transplant on 4-3-08 at UTHSC - San Fort Worth, TX
