Guest guest
Someone was trying to explain to me today that if you're a paramedic in Texas with out a college degree then your referred to as an EMT-P. But with an associates degree which has to have an EMS focus then your now an LP and if you have a bachelors degree in Biology no matter what its focus your still an LP. Is this accurate and if so guess my next question as someone who is not from there, why? All it seems like to me is a further splintering of our profession, when you leave the state in any direction all of a sudden you are no longer an LP any longer. RN is an RN is an RN same with MD no matter where you are but for some crazy reason EMS has over 75 levels of certifications and names they are called across the country. Thanks Jim<
