right now, they are discouraging donations in kind due to the

transportation problems.

This is especially true for clothing, medications and disposable medical

supplies. there have been problems in the past where much of the potentially

perishable supplies were lost en route- see lessons learned from KATRINA,

RITA and IKE here in the states, various Turkish and Chinese earthquakes in

the past 10 years, the Indonesian earthquake/tsunami of 2004 and Cyclone

Nargis (Myanmar 2008).

That being said, any of the outfits I have previously listed might be able

to put you in touch with someone on the ground in Haiti.

Surprisingly enough, consider contacting Oxfam first...
