Btw, I don't think it matters how much water you drink with every dose (usually 1 glass, but who wants to drink a whole glass in the middle of the night, not me) as long as the total intake is 2L or more per day. In Andy's hair test book he does mention maintaining a high urine pH to make sure that metals don't get dropped in the kidney. Perhaps someone else remembers the details. > I just finished my fifth round with DMSA ( a 3-day round on 12,5mg).. > and everything went fine.. !! > Great to hear. Hope you will have good progress. Stick around I'm planning to give a progress report soon. J > Michel >
Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for your kind answer and good to hear from you.. you know I stopped using Ginger completely since it showed as 'medium' allergy on my ELISA test 3 years ago.. maybe I should go back and use it.. what do you think? As for the other two recommendations of Dean regarding Kidney support: parsley water & Uva Ursi... what does he mean by 'parsley water' ? just regular parsley soaked in water ??? and what about 'Uva Ursi'..is it a supplement one can buy? Thanks for clarifying this for me.. Take care, Michel > > > > Hello, > > > > Could somebody please advise on some herbs, supplements to support > > Kidneys while chelating with DMSA? thanks.. > > > > > > Dean is our local kidney support herb specialist > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose- chelation/message/15079 > > I was surprised to find out that all the ginger tea I use is > supporting my kidneys. > > Btw, I don't think it matters how much water you drink with every dose > (usually 1 glass, but who wants to drink a whole glass in the middle > of the night, not me) as long as the total intake is 2L or more per day. > > In Andy's hair test book he does mention maintaining a high urine pH > to make sure that metals don't get dropped in the kidney. Guest guest
As for the other two recommendations of Dean regarding Kidney support: parsley water & Uva Ursi... what does he mean by 'parsley water' ? just regular parsley soaked in water ??? and what about 'Uva Ursi'..is it a supplement one can buy? HI , Pasley water is made by taking a bunch ( about 2 handfulls) of washed pasrley and put it one liter in water. Bring the water to a boil and let it boil for 3 minutes. That is it. You drink a cup of it a day in divided doses witrh the other kidney herbs. http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/drclarknetwork/kidney_cleanse.html I like Dr 's recipe because it is comprehensive in that each herb targets a different type of crystal that forms in the kidneys. It must be maintained for 6 weeks. Uva Ursi is a supplement. The parley acts as a diuretic and makes you thirsty inducing you to drink more water. And hopefully it is good filtered water you drink. If you have back pain you will almost certainly say good-bye to it after a few weeks if it is kidney related (which it almost always is, thereafter adrenal and intestinal referral). Thanks for > clarifying this for me.. > Thanks to Dean for clarifying the above. I think he knows about other herbs that are helpful for the kidney. For sure, avoiding legumes and hydrogenated oils will help the kidney - you and I already do that so we are kind of ahead there. How are you doing with Andy's supplement list? Have you got it all figured out?? Kind Regards J > Take care, > > Michel >
Guest guest
Thanks Dean for your explanation.. I will try to work on that.. by the way I don't have back pain.. I was only concerned because I heard DMSA could be hard on kidneys.. that's all.. I clicked on the link you gave me.. and the cleanse sounds a little more complex than simply boiling parsley and taking it throughout the day.. should one follow all the instructions and add all the ingredients mentioned there.. or by doing only the parsley water would it be helpful somewhat? Guest guest
Hi , Regarding Andy's supplement list, I think I am taking most of it.. I still have to add Glutamine.. it was on your list (I remember because I noted down your suggestions from an old post of yours !!) to help heal leaky gut.. I am going to get it soon Godwilling.. I am taking, Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamin D, Vit. B complex, Vit B12, Vitamin E, Enzymes, Probiotics, Zinc, Molybdenum, Vitamin C, Inositol & Choline, Lecithin, Flax oil, Milk thistle, Glyconutrients (Ambrotose), anti-fungals essential oil, and sometimes Taurine & Glycine.. and DGL (licorice).. that's it !! The problem with Molybdenum is that I only find it in a liquid form, I get it from iherb.com.. and I take a few drops in some water.. so I never know if I am taking enough of it.. probably not.. I have real difficulty in finding it in a tablet form to be able to dose properly.. any suggestion?? (in a from suitable for vegetarians of course).. Another question: in your supplement list there was something like: niacinamide & grapefruit products: well there is already niacinamide in my Vit-B complex.. isn't it enough? and what about grapefruit products: do you mean GSE (grapefruit seed extracts) ?? Thanks again, Take care, Michel > How are you doing with Andy's supplement list? Just doing parsley and ginger is VERY helpful. It will flush your kidneys and make you thirsty and drink more. But if you want to really clean your kidneys of the crystals built up in them you need the herbs. You can order the whole lot from www.drclark.net instead of hunting around if you feel like doing it. Not everyone with kidney issues feels back pain, but most forms of low back pain are from kidney issues (if that makes sense), and that IMHO. It is always funny to me when people come into to me with a badly sprained ligament and I say it will takes 6 weeks to heal. No problem. But tell them it will take 6 weeks to clean their kidneys and the almost fall over (sprained ankle or not) :-) Dean

You could add vitamin A (if you aren't getting the vit D from CLO) and folic acid. I take thiamine too, and extra B6. > The problem with Molybdenum is that I only find it in a liquid form, > I get it from iherb.com.. and I take a few drops in some water.. so I > never know if I am taking enough of it.. probably not.. I may try to get that. Right now I am using 100 mg from www.feelgoodnatural.com (because it is a Canadian source and I get stressed by customs). > Another question: in your supplement list there was something like: > niacinamide & grapefruit products: well there is already niacinamide > in my Vit-B complex.. isn't it enough? > extra is good if you have multiple chemical sensitivities. > and what about grapefruit products: do you mean GSE (grapefruit seed > extracts) ?? > No. Grapefruits, like the ones in the supermarket, produce department.
