Guest guest
The Texas Heart Institute (THI) at St. Luke’s is offering a free class to all EMS providers. The next class is scheduled for Friday March 27th and begins at 0800. It will be held at St. Luke’s (Texas Medical Center), in the Cooley Bldg. Parking is valet only and they will validate.   Several of us from my service attended the class a few weeks ago and it is very informative. It includes STEMI research and determination, Stem cell research and therapeutic hypothermia and a tour of their research labs, just to name a few. The sessions are all taught by doctors and nurses with THI. I am working on getting CE credit hours so I can’t give you a number yet but there will be CE credit for the class.  It is an all day class; we got out about 4:30.  If I can give you any more information, please feel free to contact me. It is not an absolute to RSVP but it will enable me to give them an approximate number if you do. THI is working to make education a part of their mission, good for us and them.  Thanks for your time and attention,  Kacey Sammons Director of Education County ESD-1 cell
