Epsom salts creams, baths or sprays can do the trick and provide a nice bit of sulfate to. You can actually add Magnesium to your cooking since it is a mineral and won't be destroyed by heat, and thereby spread it widely over a day's use. Any amount of lemon juice is fine - I used to use a teaspoon. That is of course until my recent ALCAT test informed me that I have a major reaction to lemon! And chillies and garlic and black pepper, and grapes. Who would have thought? You can see my results here if it interests you under Hair test 12 - http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/healingnetwork/hairtest.html I have found it most insightful. The ALCAT test measures the IgG response to antigens - that is the low grade inflammatory response that takes place over 72 hours after eating a food. The idea is you avoid the red and orange foods like the plague for 3-6 months and the yellow foods too. After this time they can be added back in a rotation format, although about 10 percent of reactions are genetic, not acquired, and will stick ever after the rotation. Since we don't eat seasonally any more and give our body a break, the same food everyday begins to cause problems. Removing the foods lower cortisol demands by decreasing inflammation - we can all do with that here! I used to feel much better on the Candida diet, but also felt better on Diary and some grains which are contraindicated in the Candida diet. I could never make sense of it all until now. It seems I was reacting to the fructose and blaming the reaction on Candida. Makes a lot of sense now and removes all the guess-work at last with diet. We'll see how it goes.
