Marilyn,

I empathize totally as we went through three years ago exactly what you are going through. Hospice was wonderful for my Mom...and for my Dad.

Reading your post has brought tears. I truly know how hard this is, I'm very sorry you are going through this.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, your Mom, your Dad.

OT: My Mom

Heyla, folks....I'm going to be in and out of the list. Hollar if you need me.We had to initiate hospice care for my Mom this week. She is no longer able to sit or stand by herself, and her mind is only partially connected to reality. If we've gotten 500 calories a day down her, it's a lot. She's in pain much of the time. The hospice folks are really wonderful. http://www.serenityhospice.com/index.htmlAt this point, all I can do is pray for what is best for Mom... and my Dad, who is half-killing himself trying to take care of her.Anyway, hope ya'll will forgive me if I go quieter than I would like to be around here.

Marilyn,

Thinking and praying for you and your entire family during this sad time. We

will miss all your words of SCD wisdom while you away from the board. Take

Just a quick note to say that I'll miss your flowery prose and quick wit, not to

mention good advice.

I am no stranger to hospice and caring for those we love who are very sick. Big

hugs to you during this difficult time. Make sure you take care of yourself.
