Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Did you get the thyroid issue worked out? ===>After the dd calling the ped's office every 3rd day for two weeks and being told the Free T3 was not in yet, she was finally told they never did the Free T3. The ped's office had called the testing into the lab and my dd asked the lab at the time of the test if the Free T3 was being done and was told " yes " . It was not, ugh! We ended up increasing the Armour to one grain, anyway and now have an order for the Free T3, which we can see on a piece of paper. They did some allergy testing at the same time and although she did not test allergic to food....her antibodies to dust mites were sky high so that is one piece of the puzzle. We never noticed anything despite some occasional sneezing. We have un dust mited her room, put all her stuffed animals in the freezer for a bit and the sneezing is gone.===> Thanks, I'd like to see it if it's easy to post the link. My B12 was way high several months ago, looking like maybe an issue of not using it, so maybe this is a problem. I haven't had it checked since then. So many things to track and keep up with. ====>I'll try to post it, I think I can. She could not use methyl B12. After several weeks of oral supplementation she was " hyper " talking and pinching us (never did this before or after). We recently tried a sublingual hydroxy B12 and after 10 days got the same response. Instead we opted to give her some NOW liver powder, put in capsules, as it is high in B12 and that seems to agree with her, although you have to swallow a lot of capsules. Although I am frequently wrong about figuring these things out, in her case I'm wondering if the bad mag didn't knock her potassium out as mag can control the level of potassium. Her potassium levels on blood tests had fallen to the bottom of the scale and were also low on hair tests. Potassium is responsible for muscle and nerve control and also blood sugar regulation (we had trouble with this) as well as heartbeat regularity. And the reason it would get worse on round is that the chelator would pull the mag and drive the potassium levels down further. We have been pushing high potassium foods but the supplement levels of potassium are limited to 99 mgs so it's hard to get enough in. We also have always given her a blend of potassium salt substitute and salt in the salt shaker. Just a thought but wondering if somehow your minerals were not off.
