If you get the dose right it stimulates your immune system to fight yeast. Yeast tends to persist with weak adrenals. But if you take too much you can exacerbate yeast. It is a fine balance. > I guess my concern is taking a steriod: Is the Hydro-C pretty safe > to all your other organs/systems?/ It is a bio-identical hormone, and if you are not making enough on your own of you MUST supply it. You supply it long enough to rebuild your adrenal reserves. Can be a few months, to a few years, to permanently. It is said to be the only hormone essential to life. Cortisol saliva tests give you and idea when and how much you need. As long as you stay beneath 20mg /day there is no problem (as that is what the body would usually make, so little suppresssion of the adrenals take place), and best to stay on the lowest possible dose that makes you feel good. It allows the adrenals to rest and repair. > How long do you take usually, ie until you feel better? For most people it is near instant. Some people (like ) needed to start slower and build up tolerance. If you take your temperatures and they are bouncing all over the place it is a sign of adrenal insufficiency. Adrenal problems are one of the most over-looked problems, and along with the thyroid should be tackled first. I beleive even before mercury removal.
