Guest guest
Looks like Lucy's publisher must no longer be using Amazon as a distribution channel (or vice versa). Other parties are selling her book through Amazon, and they need to make a profit since a huge chunk must go to Amazon, thus the high prices, although over $100 is a BIT ridiculous! I actually have a book recently published on Amazon and notice that " used " copies from 3rd party vendors are selling (or NOT selling for $36. New copies sold through Amazon are $15.99. A little insight into the world of publishing. It's a jungle (Amazon-variety) out there! Wife of Fred, on SCD since 04/09, making slow but steady improvement! Guest guest
I have several of the cookbooks, but haven't used them much because so many of the recipes are advanced. It's kind of a bummer. However, it's also kind of fun to look at them because the pictures look so very yummy! I got a great buy on the 2 Grain Free Gourmet books, but it was from a site that makes you cancel 2 different memberships within 3 days, or else they start charging a monthly fee. I had no problems (and actually, have not even seen a charge for the books yet), but I hesitate to post the name of the site based on the amount of complaints I've seen. But if you're a crazy risk taker who would like to try and save a few bucks, send me a private message and I'll tell you where I bought them.
