Andy does give instructions on how to read a GSDL test on p 272 of his " Hair Test Interpretation " book. It looks like the test has changed since he published the book because Na and K are on this test but were missing at the time he wrote the book. It looks to me like your test might meet counting rule 1 with an all low pattern. I can't be sure because I find the test difficult to read. It would be worthwhile to have a DDI *hair elements* test done (there is a special price during the month of April with www.directlabs.com. The DDI test is not very expensive.) > 1) > Symptoms: > -Very foggy brain, concentration problems > -A lot of fatigue. > -Poor liver function > -constipation > -strange vision (a bit ichy behind eyes, difficulties with having > overview) > -slight joint pains in hands and toes > -chronic fungal problems > Symptoms fit mercury toxicity. > Medical history: > In childhood: only regular headaches and more than average need for > sleep (and more tired in the morning). It is possible that there were other exposures to mercury or other toxins that you were not aware of. Some people have reported mercury poisoning just from eating fish. Guest guest
> What dose do you use? (just curious as I use HC as well). I am using 10mg a day (5mg / 2.5mg / 2.5mg). I forgot to say that I also use DHEA: 25mg in the morning. By the way, thanks for looking at my hair test. I think I will just try chelation instead of having another hair test. At this moment chelation (+other detox protocols) is one of the few things that are left for trying. In a urine heavy metal provocation test mercury and lead where elevated, but I don't have good reference data for that test. About possible exposure in the past: My father was a tulip bulb grower (how DUTCH can it be???); he was exposed a lot to mercury many years ago (used for disinfecting purposes) when it was not even known how dangerous it is. He has had some of the same health problems as I have, but in a lesser extent. My father and I did both the urine provocation test and in mine the mercury, lead, etc were much higher. I found that really strange; initially I did not really trust the test, partly because all doctors and people I spoke to did not support the idea for my possible heavy metal toxicity. The clinic where I did the test (it offers IV chelation) was quite commercial. My father is now 65 and he is feeling better and better, possible due to the half life of mercury? My liver works much poorer than my fathers; most of the time I cannot even stand 1 glass of whine while my father can without a problem. So possible the heavy metals have taken me in a vicicous cycle of health misery.
