Hi!

Hi I will take tyrosin and jod for my hypothyroidproblems. I also look

for a produkt to take when Im high cortisol. What product do you

recomend for that? Isocort is for low cortisol, right? What dosage to

start with the tyrosin and jod? I have a cronic inflammation in my

kidneys and high bloodpressure. Could it be dangerous to take jod or

tyrosin?

Hi Bent

You should use HC for high cortisol as well. It will give your

adrenals a rest. It doesnt shut down your cortisol production as these

are physiological doses, so after a few months your adrenal can pick

up again where they should be and then you can slowly taper of again,

when you feel right.

The symptoms of high and low cortisol are very simular and both will

result you being hypothyroid.

You must build up slowly. Start at 2.5mg for two or three days and

increase 2.5mg every three days until you get to 20mg and review. Some

may need 25 or 30mg. You need to spread this out during the day to

match up your natural Cortisol levels (which are much higher in the

mornings).

This is very good advice Russ,

I also believe that HC should be used in cases of high and low cortisol. Thanks

for affirming that.

If you have high cortisol, you might want to use tyrosine with some caution. It

is used for making thyroid hormone, but it is also used for making dopamine,

which make epinephrine. If your cortisol is high, maybe your epinephrine is also

high. I am not sure if the two go together. I know that my cortisol, dopamine,

and epinephrine were all low.

You might be able to just go by symptoms...I would start the HC before the

tyrosine, so you know what is doing what.

Phosphatidyl serine can help to reduce high cortisol.

Isocort is for low cortisol, right?

Yes.

I don't know what jod is??

I would try 500 mg tyrosine once or twice daily and see how you do.
