Hi Kate,........glad you made it home okay. Was the weather a problem? We've been having a lot of rain, and today was rainy with hail, and lightening. Usually when the weather changes from one system to another is when my pain levels sky rocket. Today wasn't too bad as long as I don't move. lol... but thats just the way it is. Its just some days I can deal with it better than other days. It gets very tiring.

So what job sounds like something you'd like to do? :-) How can you juggle working and the Hockey? Sounds like an awful big load to take on. I'll keep you in my prayers that things work out okay.

Hugs, Jackie

Yep, some days are crappy but then something really, truly crappy comes along. I can't get my mind off of Japan and everything... My 16 year old grandson has been telling me jokes all morning. He has great delivery and timing:) Right now he is reading to his younger sister (13). They are re-reading the entire Percy series. I've been tearing up since yesterday so grandson helps with his jokes. My runner duck, , is injured. Somehow his neck and head got caught in a door and he was like that for several hours before he was discovered and rescued. He can't hold his head up. I am giving it a few days and if he doesn't improve he will have to be put down. is a fawn and white runner duck.

His buddy, Jamal, is a magpie duck. I always laugh when they are walking around together because they remind me of Lenny and Squiggy. Remember them? lolMy cat, Tuxie, sits on me everything I sit down. The rest of the time she is up on the entertainment center or in her "cave"--the bookshelf below the TV. The other cats hat Tuxie and fight with her. I must be fair to the other cats because Tuxie is kind of cranky and likes to fight too. hugs to you Anne and all others dealing with emotional upset

I know we have really crappy days - and it does suck

then something like this happens - and what I deal with seems to me so trivial

Grace fell the other night and I didn't know until she crawled down the hall to the bedrooms - I sleep with a CPAP - it was half and hour before I could talk her into letting me call the fire department - they sent the big rig - thank heavens no lights and sirens - took them 5 minutes to get her in bed - I got less than 3 hours sleep - then since I was awake I checked my email and started the scans to keep my puter between the ditches

Ellen now has 7 dogs - new big girl is elk hound / lab (); Herrn and Arwin (giant schnausers; Max (the one that goes AWOL) ; Miss B (my favorite crone); Brownie the Brat (she poops to be mean); and Mollie the yorkie (the sweet one) - they were so upset from the energy she wasn't sleeping either

CJ called later and she was driving from the far northern end of Michigan to Chicago - her sister was having emergency gall bladder surgery

a friend called - my two grand dogs on the coast were so upset from the earthquakes in the Gulf of California - they kept jumping in bed and waking them up - so I did another consult on speaker phone to tell the boys when they are upset it is okay to get in the big bed - cuddle - do not rampage

My sister in Traverse City's first son is Thor - his perk is when she calls Grandmama - mom puts him on speaker phone - he doesn't meow - he says mama - and he always has an opinion - the last few days all 13 and the 2 kittens have been on edge - so they are shut out of the office and all of them are offended - several keep fishing under the door with their paws and exressing their displeasure about being banned

all this from earthquakes going off like the energizer rabbit

I have been saying a lot of prayers - it is the only way I can help - I flashed on Ellen - her son Kenny was in the navy in Japan in the last tsunami and went with the ships for humanitarian aid - my sister Patti's SIL and Ellen's son are both in Iraq right now

yesterday I had to go to Dollar Tree for allergy pills - the kid behind me had a tee shirt on - I flashed on my grandson - TJ is in his second year of college - the tee shirt said "I am the after party"

how does this fit together - working Red Cross as a disaster and a psychological volunteer - forget the designation - going to college with police officers and deputy sheriffs - when all h---- is breaking loose - keep your sense of humor - it will keep what is left of your sanity

Hi Jackie,Yup, the rain poured down all the way up to Lake Placid UNTIL we got about 40 minutes away, and then it snowed to beat the band! Fortunately, we got behind a plow, which despite it's slowness, kept us going, as they cleared the road fairly well.I think I may have written some of the ideas that came up with the job search: mental health worker; medical secretary; child care worker; personnel. I'm not sure about the juggling, I have to discuss that with the woman, , that's assigned to me to sort things out. I will be looking for only a part-time job. Thank you for the prayers. I covet all I can get! Bless you for that!love,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Wed, March 16, 2011 3:04:09 AMSubject: Kate.....Re: Sharon and all.....Re: Crappy days, emotional
