A Update

Hi friends,It's been awhile since I last updated. Well, I still have my chest tube placed, it will be in for another month. Hopefully my lung surgeon will pull the tube then after he sees the x-ray. I follow up with my pulm end of October.Pain wise, it's been getting worse. I'm awake due to a sharp pain on my side that won't go away. I cannot get morphine at the moment because my mom is asleep and it isn't time for my next dose anyway. My doc has upped my morphine and it is helping when I need it the most (since it is for breakthru pain). My patch is still the same at 25mcg.I don't know what else to update with, I have been reading and keeping up with the posts here. I've just been trying to keep myself busy. The new morphine dose does make me more tired, I fell asleep on the couch watching a movie that my dad rented over demand for me. Came across some dr paper work and I know what to write for my diagonsis for my signature now.Take care everybody, love and hugs!/23/North Ridgeville, OhioT-cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma survivor of 2 years - 12/05Autologus Bone Marrow Transplant 2 yrs - 09/2006Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis due to chemotherapy - 06/2008

Hi Kimberley,

Thanks for letting us know how you are doing. I was wondering about you only the other say & hey BINGO here you are!

You show heaps of courage in dealing with so much...do you enjoy music? Music has such a wonderful power to take our Brain Waves 'elsewhere' & can 'shift' the sensation of pain...maybe the Morphine & Music could work well hand-in-hand! Or Patch n' Headphones might be more accurate!

I notice that your signature says 'Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis' due to Chemotherapy.....the fact that the CAUSE of your Pulmonary Fibrosis is known means that you don't need to use the word 'Idiopathic'. That word is used when the Cause of the PF is UNKNOWN! You can just say Pulmonary Fibrosis! One less word to type!

Cheers,

in Oz
