Guest guest
Alyssa, there are compounding pharmacies online that families with ASD kids use all the time. I haven't because I have a great compounding apothecary here in Indianapolis, but you might investigate that route. I think one is called Lee Silsby. Guest guest
Alyssa, When prednisone is effective, its benefits will override the downside of containing small amounts of lactose. To be clear, I'm not advocating that you use prednisone. In fact, it's not meant to be used long term. However, I notice that the dose you're on is very low (20 mg). In order for prednisone to eradicate the symptoms you're experiencing or at least help you recover from your flare, you'll likely have to increase your dose to 40 or 50 mg for 2 weeks, and then taper by 5 mg each week. YMMV, but this is the method that seems to be the most effective for those who have used steroids to achieve " remission. " Good luck, Jill > > Okay, well I just found out that my prednisone had lactose in it. So > between that and the iron pills, no wonder I still have D!!!
