Guest guest
I had the wire placement biopsy (where you go to radiology and they place the wire, then go to surgery and they remove the wire with the tissue around it). I had heard from several women that it hurt, despite their " numbing " medication. So I requested a prescription for painkillers before the surgery, and took two before the wire placement. Plus I had the numbing shot (taking no chances here . There wasn't any significant pain, although I did get faint (you have to stand or sit up for the procedure - they have your breast squeezed in the mammogram machine during it to find the right place.) good luck,
