I am curious if those of you who are talking about having blood sugar regulation

problems, also had Arsenic show up high on your hair tests. I meet the counting

rules for mercury, but also have very high Arsenic levels in my hair, and when

reading the sections about Arsenic in HTI, its says that Arsenic can affect your

blood sugar regulation. I recently had a fasting blood draw done to check this,

but I haven't gotten the results yet. So maybe having both metals makes this

worse?

Hi Jackie

In the hair analysis I had done two years ago I had no arsenic, just

high mercury, and a little lead. What was significant with me was the

ratio of calcium to magnesium, which Andy identifies as being key in

blood sugar regulation. Mine was 55.15 - he says a ratio of 30 is

ideal. So I am way over, and true enough, have major blood sugar

issues. What I don't know is how to treat it. Is it actually to do

with calcium? - should I take more or less? - or is the elevated

calcium due to thryoid issues (which I am treating with Armour) - or

will it all sort itself out when mercury levels fall? I noticed that

my reactive hypoglycemia got worse when I took calcium supplements, and

yet according to the Hair Analysis book I should be taking calcium

supplements with high calcium showing up in my hair. Sigh. It is a

total mystery, and Pam is right - it is a major quality of life issue

for me and my family.

Best
