Guest guest
What exactly would be the radiological evidence of amalgams under a crown? The IAOMT dentist I have been seeing stated that he could not id amalgam from xrays. He is not encouraging me to replace my crowns, in fact, he thinks it would be safe to start detox now that I have all amalgams out. So I feel certain he is not saying that he can't tell from x-rays as a way of pressuring me to get my crowns replaced (and thus make more money off of me). I think he is being completely honest based on his knowledge. Considering what folks say here about the dangers of hidden amalgam under crowns, I think he is less cautious about amalgam under crowns than may be appropriate. If there IS a way to detect amalgam via xray, I would like to have some detailed info on how to do this, so I can share that info with him, and also make the right decision about when to start detox.
