I had the same reaction. But what do I know?

The question I asked was re: amalgam-colored discoloration in teeth

that have had amalgams removed. I never asked about how to tell if

there's an amalgam under a crown. It would seem that asking the

practitioner who put it in would be appropriate, if he/she is still

among the living.
