With typical ranges a figure of 1.4 springs to mind. Half way between min and max FT4 is the rule of thumb maximum. Guest guest
I hope this group can help me. I over dosed with T4 to the point of creating thyroid resistance. my RT3 levels were somewhere in the 600's twice the T3 and I had all the symptoms of Hypo. The doctor put me on T3 starting with 12.5, then 37.5 now I'm on 50mcg going on 67.5 at the same time that he asked me to gradually reduce my T4. I read in this group that when you have RT3 it is better not to take T4 anymore which makes sense since the excess of that is what created the Rt3 in the first place. I felt great in the beginning but now I feel hypo again and I am so depressed. I barely eat and yet can't lose weight. All my other values are good, just the thyroid values are off. Please give me some advice and I am really down. The doctor told me not to eliminate completely the T4, so I am torn. Help please! Guest guest
I certainly WOULD eliminate all T4 with numbers liek that. We can live very nicely wiht NO T4, just T3, but have patience it takes at least 12 weeks ot clear RT3 and thta only when the RT3 leels have come down in blood and T4 levels have also come down. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
