Guest guest
I'm happy to hear you were able to get in touch with them. I'm sure the troche's will work fine for you. I think the dosing is more gentle on your body (I think it bypasses the liver if you take them sublingually?). If you can't get your pharmacy to make them, MDCustom RX only charges $5 to ship so it's not that expensive. Actually my insurance covers part of the compounded RX's but I have to submit them myself. Keep us posted on your progress! Joann > > I talked to one of the pharmacists at the pharma in WI that you > referred me to Joann and she was great. Guest guest
Heard back from doc and he'll prescribe them and my compounding pharmacist, who knows me by name now, can make them for me and says that the dosing should be effective with them - much more effective than the cream. Thanks again for mentioning it. > > I'm happy to hear you were able to get in touch with them. I'm sure > the troche's will work fine for you. Guest guest
Maybe you should inquire about taking SRT3 as well. I know when I tried Armour (before knowing anything about AF) it was not pleasant. When I tried the SRT3, it was much better. I'm currently taking 88mcg Synthroid and 15 mcg SRT3 which I think is close to 2 grains of Armour. My doctor wants me to stick with this for now after my most recent labs. Best of luck with your troches! Guest guest
While I was waiting on hold for the pharmacist the recorded message talked about how they compound T4 and SRT3. I'm not done with Armour yet, but believe me, I've thought about it. It has been so hard for me to get to 2 grains and I know that I need more. It is has just been very hard on my adrenals. Unfortunately, I have made several mistakes in dosing, Armour and HC, and in raising too fast, so it's hard to tell what has caused what. My temps have been very stable for going on five days now. I promised my wife that I would give it a full week this time before increasing and Val said so too so I'm holding - this will be my third week sticking at 2 grains and then I'll be able to add that little 1/8 grain. I can't wait for the troches though. I'll get my doc to call them in on Monday. > > Maybe you should inquire about taking SRT3 as well.
