Just typing out loud here, but there is Turkey Bacon, andbeef fat aka suet--and most oils work well, too. I love it that you make your own bread! Beans and whole grainsmake a nearly complete protein; it is good of you to honortheir dietary restrictions. Although I myself am Jewish, myfamily never kept kosher, nor did Hans and I, but many ofour friends did and we just learned, as my parents had, toadapt to our friends' preferences. These three young kids, though tramatized, are very fortunate. You may find yourself in the position of being theirconfidant--just be sure to take care of you and to let the kids know about your having MS--will not hurt them to knowthat other people have troubles, too.Love and hugs to each of

One wrench in the plans is the kids dietary restrictions. They aren't allowed to have any pork. So no lard for cooking, no bacon for seasoning... SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws or defects. it? Between a rock and a hard place - if CPS opens a case then they'llprobably be sent to an "Official" foster home, and could very well beseparated; on the other hand, no open case = no money... Blessings on your house for taking them in, even though it probably meansmore beans and less meat all around, at least they're together somewherefamiliar.T in WYPractical Blackwork Designshttp://practicalblackwork.comhttp://practical-blackwork.blogspot.com%C2%A0%C2%A0

Thank you n. You are always so kind and caring! The kids dietary restrictions are very different for us. We've had the kids stay with us for a week at a time before and dealt with the diet then but that wasn't long term. We eat a lot of pork in this household because it is a cheaper meat than beef (at least in our area). I like to make bean soup with bacon for flavoring so I guess I will have to try the turkey bacon for flavor. I guess I'll find out if it tastes the same! The kids are not Jewish but I know the dietary restrictions are the same. They are 'New Covenant Hebrew'. I don't know much about their religion but I need to learn. I know they don't celebrate some holidays so that will be difficult to deal with. I

don't know how long they will be living here. I have spent several hours on the phone this morning talking to the court system. It doesn't look very promising for the dad, unfortunately.hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. I asked my big brother in NJ - he is not orthodox - if he doesn't know he will ask his lady rabbi - he talks reiki to her so she is cool God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there.
