Well Jon, You are just going through it. Sounds like 02 time to me. Are you on any at all yet? It will make such a difference. When your saturation drops like that don't panic, simply sit breathe deep through your noseand blow out slowly. Your saturation will return quickly. I hate to tell you you will learn all these tricks. If you go on 02, be sure to ask about sleeping. Our respiratory slows and sats usually drop then too. Are y'all coming to Orlando ? Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida,  IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."  Friends,Spent a fair part of yesterday in the ER.Woke up feeling awful and didn't go to church despite it beingAnnual Meeting Sunday in most of the Episcopal world.Took a shower and my O2 sat afterwards was 83%.  Yikes.Called Dawn home from church, who took me to the ER.Labs, blood gas, xray.Then a breathing treatment.  Albuterol and atrovent.The lungs opened up.  Fibrosis is a disease of restriction.Makes sense to me...I now have a nice nebulizer pump at home and am on treatmentsevery four hours while awake.I am seeing pulmodude today.  My sats still drop below 90 with activity.  We need to decide whether I go on oxygen 24/7.  That would suck, but I only seem to need it with exertion.  I am supposed to go back to work on 2/11...I am a critical care RN.  I cannot do bedside work on O2.  I hopethe VA can find me something to do...It is what it is.Off to my AA meeting.jon50 sarcoid 1/9-- Two wrongs don't make a right,but two 's make an airplane.

Jon ... 'it is what it is' is often hard to accept isn't it.

I am glad there was some relief for you even tho' you had to go to ER.
