look up 'un opposed alpha adenergic stimulus'...which is why drugs like

clonidine (an alpha blocker) and labatolol (a mixed alpha/beta blocker) does

help in cocaine overdose...

Because it drops the heart rate and once patient returns to " normal " heart rate

will drop even lower and also hypotension that you may not be able to reverse.
