Is T3 Only Protocol Permanent?

Once you go on a T3-only protocol, is it a permanent decision? If Cytomel

becomes too expensive for me, or there is a national shortage like the one that

happened with Armour Thyroid, can I go back to a mix of T3 & T4 meds? Will my

body always make too much RT3, or will it " forget " how to convert T4 into T3?
