Guest guest Posted April 20, 2012 Report Share Posted April 20, 2012 The Crystal Academy Therapy Center is currently looking for a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst to work as part of a collaborative team and to supervise the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) VB-MAPP-based interventions for skill replacement and behavior reduction for assigned students through functional assessment and development and implementation of function-based treatment plans. BCABA's provide initial and ongoing training to educational staff in the principles of VB-MAPP, including functional assessment, function-based treatment, data evaluation, instructional strategies, as well as crisis management. The Crystal Academy Therapy Center is comprised of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, and Behavior Assistants, who are committed to providing high-quality consultation to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages 2 years to 8 years. The Behavior Team provides ongoing treatment and implementation of the VB-MAPP program and behavior strategies to our children. The Crystal Academy Therapy Center is an early intervention center located in beautiful Coral Gables, FL. Our center caters to children diagnosed, but not limited to, Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our children range in ages form 2 years old to 8 years old. Our center provides ABA therapy, Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, Music therapy, play therapy, socialization, academic enrichment and Adaptive Daily Living skills. Our center is open 12 months a year from 8 am to 6pm. Our center creates a holistic and individualized program for each of the children based on their needs. Essential Qualifications: •Masters Degree in ABA, Psychology or Special Education •BCABA certification •Minimum 1 year experience in providing behavior services (e.g., functional assessment, development and implementation of function-based behavior plans (ABELS or VB-MAPP), treatment evaluation and crisis intervention to students with autism and other behavioral disorders •Demonstrates advanced understanding of behavioral principles and instructional strategies for students with autism, Asperger syndrome, and other behavior disorders •Experience working with students ages 2-15yrs •Experience working with a multidisciplinary team, cultivating teamwork and fostering staff professional development and competence •Demonstrates superior ability in supervising program staff •Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, community members, and staff members •Excellent time-management skills •Adherence to a high level of professional and ethical standards Compensation: This position offers a competitive salary based on experience and training.
