Ambulance Strike Team/Medical Task Force Leader

Disasters are happening with greater frequency than in the past, and

this significantly impacts the communities involved. Whether a man-made

or natural disaster occurs, people will need medical care and/or

evacuation. Hospitals, nursing homes, acute-care clinics, and victims

needing medical assistance are some of the groups that could benefit

from an Ambulance Strike Team or Medical Task Force.

This course will train EMS personnel in leadership or management

positions to serve in the role of Ambulance Strike Team/Medical Task

Force Leader

with large numbers of patients requiring mass care or medical

evacuation.

EMS Leadership Academy

The EMS Leadership Academy is a certificate program that provides EMS

personnel with the knowledge, tools and skills to become more effective

as leaders and managers. Using an integrated EMS system approach, the

professional development program is designed to serve as the benchmark

for statewide and national recognition of EMS leadership and
