Guest guest
What does it mean when both are low? I thought they were inverse. Jenn
Guest guest
When T3 and TSH are both low it often means poor conversion or RT3 problems. This si when T4 ois convertaing mainly to RT3 and is liekoly too high and conversipn to T3 is lowered. T4 over 1.4 seems to start converting ot RT3 then thta bloicks conversion to T3. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

It's released by the hypothalamus and stimulates the pituitary to release ACTH, in response to stress, and is also made by some other cells - T cells for instance. And apparently, it seems to control the onset of childbirth. This could possibly be part of a causal link between prematurity and HPA axis problems in the offspring..
