Guest guest
My son got his DocBand at 17 months old and has not tried to take it off at all (it's been three weeks). And he hated hats, so I was convinced he would try. The velcro is really strong. I struggle to get it off myself sometimes. Actually, when they first put it on him in the office, he did try to push it off, but it wouldn't budge. And by the time we left the office, he was fine with it. Is your grandson able to undo the velcro? Or does it just slide off his head with the velcro closed? I've heard of things you can do to rig the velcro so they can't open it (duct tape, barrettes), but I don't know what to do if he can just pry it off. The DocBand doesn't seem to move very much at all once it's on. My son is really strong too, but I don't think he could pry it off. Sorry, I don't know about the Chicago Cranial Tech. We go to Charlotte. Good luck!
