Guest guest
Anyone grilling outdoors with charcoal or anything other than electric? We got a small grill for outdoors and tried the bags you light because they are fast. Not real crazy about the flavor and not sure what is in it. Just looking for ideas because I want to do serious grilling this summer. Thanks, Debbie 40 cd

Guest guest
Does the bag say 'lump charcoal'? We used these bags of hickory briquettes where you light the entire bag because it contains lighter fluid so it burns itself and it's fast. How do you determine what is legal or is any charcoal legal if it agrees with you? (I didn't explain the 'lighting of the bag' very well earlier and I didn't like the taste so thought I'd ask what most people use before buying more, thanks!) Guest guest
Our bag indicates that it's lump charcoal. You have to take the charcoal out of the bag to use it. I have seen lump charcoal at our local grocery store now that it's " grilling season. " I don't know if briquettes are legal or not, but knowing that they typically contain starch, I avoid cooking with them. Guest guest
Ok, thanks. We have an indoor grill (stovetop) and for some reason it was thought to be easier to use the charcoal with the lighter fluid already in it. So you are using regular charcoal...thanks. I'm not sure any of it is legal--some people have strong thoughts on it. Debbie 40 cd Our bag indicates that it's lump charcoal. You have to take the charcoal out of the bag to use it.
