The Huntsville Fire Department will be hosting a Public Safety Diver class in

July. The dates are July 10-12 and 17-19 with training from 1800 Friday to 1700

Sunday both weekends.

Training will include:

-All functional roles at a dive scene including Primary Diver, Tender, Safety

Diver, Profiler, 90% Diver, Divemaster

-Dive scene setup and management

-Diver/tender coordination

-Interviewing techniques and information gathering

-Black water search patterns

-Emergency drills and black water hand signals

-Equipment specific to limited visibility public safety diving

-Drysuit familiarization and practice

This class has limited openings left and is open to certified divers from any

agency that are in a dive team or are preparing to join one. Anyone interested

can contact me offlist for specifics.
