Guest guest
I recently read that a consistently low urine ph can lead to problems. So I went out and bought test strips. Well, both Kaitlyn & I tested at about 5.0 or 5.5 today, and I think I've been this way for a long time. We eat 2, sometimes 3, cups of yogurt per day as Elaine suggested as a limit. We also eat a lot of meats and veggies. So my questions are: Did Elaine ever discuss whether or not ph balance is very important and to try to get the balance to 7.0 ?? Has anyone else also tested low (very acidic)? If yes, what measures did you take to return it to around 7.0? Should we cut back on yogurt and take the acidophilus supplement more? I feel lost! Help!! Maybe I should talk to her pediatrician? my primary? I'll test again tomorrow. - Kaitlyn's Mom Kaitlyn, age 10 CD 6/07 SCD 9/07 med-free 9/08 ( SCD 90%)
