Guest guest
My thoughts are, why not a yummy curry chicken salad? and egg salad? Take some lettuce and wrap it up...or just have a dish of it (that is what I do!) You could make this a couple days in advance too! Of course you need a cooler anyway...so as long as the mayo and other ingredients are untainted, you should be fine! The protein with hold you over longer too. How about a nice fresh fruit salad?? Always nice on a hot day. You could also take a GF yogurt to dip it in... If there are going to be grills, you could always have a burger or hot dog, just make sure they are GF...my favorite burgers have the onion soup mix mixed in and a piece of provolone or swiss on top...yummmm. I hardly ever ate the bun .. even before going GF. This year they would like to take dinner to the park for the fireworks. I need to think of something to suggest that my sister-in-law can make that is naturally gluten-free or that she can buy premade for me. All I can think of is lunchmeat in a lettuce leaf, but how do I know it the lunchmeat is gluten-free? Ah!Any ideas? Thanks, in MA
