I also dose with magnesium and I take quite a bit more than you do.You might also want to consider getting a whole blood cell test, to see how much magnesium and other minerals actually are getting into your cells. This is different from what's in your serum. Magnesium, unlike calcium, the body does not hold on to and eliminates what it does not need normally. But the best way to tell is to see what's in the red blood cells. This is a special test, most doctors do not order it. My doctor goes through the Doctor's Data lab for this purpose.

Thanks for the information! I didn´t know that it can raise DHEA. I have been taking 400-600 mg a day for the last 5 years and it has cured many of my problems. So my DHEA probably would have been lower without magnesium...

I woudl not supplement ANYTHING to over range levels unless I was

certian there was a reason for ti, Liek T3 adn B12, both I htink the

ranges are very low for so over range is not wrong. But I dont; knwo

abuot high magnesium. high leveols of other mnerals is NOT good so I

would assume magnesium is ht esame.

,Since your RBC test is showing up high, you are more than likely absorbing the mg properly into your cells (although even the RBC is not perfectly accurate). If so, then you do not need a high supplementation of mg. You may be getting plenty from your diet and water source.Since you are now supplementing inconsistently, 150 to 500 depending on your pulse, it is hard to tell how much you need, or if you need any supplementation at all. I would drop all supplementation for a month or two, and retest to see if you are getting adequate thru diet and water.If you test low without any supplementation, then start with a low dose, but do it consistently so you can get a clear picture of how much you need.Kate> Thanks for the information!
