Guest guest
Hi .. Your inquiry requires a multi-faceted approach.. This diet will totally help you and loading up on probiotic rich foods/supplements will do a worlds difference for you. Adrenal issues is something you should look into this group; http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ It's beyond active. Val and Patty do an incredible job trying to help people. Have you had Thyroid and Hormones tested as well? Where do you live? Have you searched ACAM.org for an integrative doc? So sorry you had the experience you did! It is way unethical what the doc did to you. Jodi

Guest guest
I have had my TSH tested and it is always within normal range but very low, I want to say 0.8 on average. No doctor (including my endocrinologist) has ever really been that concerned, but i am bothered by how many factors that are contributing to my low energy. I have tried to search for other integrative/holistic doctors and the problems is that none take my insurance and i have spent so much time and money shopping for new doctors that will help. every doctor seems to dx me with another issue, none are saying the same thing, and nothing is working. Grrr...i'm very burnt out on the whole thing. I currently live in Los Angeles but am moving to Raleigh in August. If anyone has good doctor recommendations, I'd love to hear! > > Hi .. > > Your inquiry requires a multi-faceted approach.. Guest guest
> > I have had my TSH tested and it is always within normal range but very low, I want to say 0.8 on average. Hi ...me again ..have you heard of " 's Temperature syndrome " ? It is a thyroid issue that can't be dx'd from the standard tests ( as it concerns issues re: converting t4 into t3) the good news is you do the test for it yourself ....you get a good quality thermometer ( prefer liquid metal, but a brand new/never been dropped digital is o.k.) you take your temperature three times daily ( 3 hours after waking, then 6 hours, then 9 hours) for 3 days ( or what I did--since I can't always take my temp 3 x day... I took it at those time slots for 2 weeks then averaged them ) if your average is below 98.2 ( mine was 96.8 when i started it! ) then you get compounded slow release t3...the manual on how to take it ( & symptoms associated with the syndrome ) are on the wilson's syndromes website as are a list of pharmacies you can order it from ...I've been on it 4.5 months now & finally my temp average is up to 98 ...I haven't " captured " my temp yet ( that's what they call it when eventually your body remembers that is the correct temp to be at & it stays there without the medicine ...which is good--it means you don't have to take the med for life, eventually your " cured " ) it has reduced my food reactivity ( to even legal foods ) alot & improved my energy & focus alot & that " home testing " was a $ bonus!! hth, gisele

Guest guest
wow, i hadn't heard of that...thanks for sharing. i will look into it but i have to admit, i am super-overwhelmed right now! just trying to determine what is going on with my body and which foods are best for it. are people on this list working full-time? or on disability? i left my job last year after my diabetes dx because it was a clear sign that my body was screaming at me to change things. i had a 50% travel job at a very demanding organization which totally wore me out. i took CA short-term disabilty for a year, which is now done and i can't even think about managing a full-time job and my health. what are other people doing when their disease/issues are so active? I'm 31, and can't believe how much this has consumed my life. my friends are getting pregnant and having healthy babies and i am spending well over $10K a year trying to get my body in decent shape... > > > > I have had my TSH tested and it is always within normal range but very low, I want to say 0.8 on average. > > Hi ...me again ..have you heard of " 's Temperature syndrome " ? Guest guest
I googled " Holler for Your Health " by Theresa Holler who is a physician's assistant. I think in NC she would have to have a physician sponsor her in a practice. It will be interesting to see her set up, since whoever sponsors her would have to agree with her practice ideals. Please let us all know where she sets up. PJ > > > > > > Hi .. > > > > > > > > > > I have had my TSH tested and it is always within normal range but very low, I want to say 0.8 on average. Guest guest
Hi Debbie and Ann, The function of the group is really to post your individual testing results and get " advice " (they aren't docs) So many people chime in, have issues and need to tinker with their meds where their doc isn't helpful. Like with Thyroid, Adrenal and Hormonal issues even integrative docs are way off the mark. It is unbelievable what a huge subject it is. I have very low hormone levels, Hypothyroid and have Adrenal insufficiency. There are so many ins and outs to the subject- the fact I can get advice is so helpful. Don't worry about following the threads on that group. I use it as " web only " and check out threads here and there. It is super useful.
