Guest guest
Dear Nick, Is T3 alone a better treatment than Armour when the rT3 ratio is this low? If so, how does one determine the dose of T3 - is there a link to guide us on that? When the rT3 is removed, can one then go to either T4 alone or Armour Thyroid? Have people done that? Would appreciate your thoughts. Stan >>My doctor has decided that I should start Armour Thyroid 15 mg and every 2 >weeks increase by 15 mg, and after 6 weeks at 90 mg Armour thyroid, get new > labs. > You are in the wrong place really for the best advice on Naturalthyroid, it has a group of it's own that is busier than this onehttp://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/things-we-have-learned/is their web site and talks about dosing. You are being too conservative and it may end up making you worse bysuppressing production and not replacing enough.Your FT3 is very low which is what's making the ratio bad for you,Natural MAY bring the FT3 up without bringing the reverse up, in whichcase the ratio will improve and you will be OK. If the RT3 comes upas well the ratio will stay bad and it's a sign that you need to go T3only which is what this group can help withNick-- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
