Guest guest
Hi I'm still learning but I think you need FT3, FT4 and TSH I'm guessing you will want to see a lowering of your FT4 and TSH levels and rising of your FT3 levels. The RT3 test isn't helpful at this stage as it may well be lowering in the blood but what we care about is what's going on in your receptors and unfortunately there is no test for that You need to stop your meds 14 hours before testing. If you take your cytomel on the day of the draw it will cause your FT3 to be falsely elevated. Good luck Josie I have been taking cynomel for approx 2 weeks now and want to have my labs done. What tests should I order? Do I need to stop taking it before I have the tests? Get a free e-mail account with Hotmail. Sign-up now.
Guest guest
You can test but it will nto tell you if RT3 has cleared. VERY early into trweating wiht T3 onyl the RT3 in the BLOOD goes down to wonderful low levels, but it seem sot take 12 weeks to actually leave the receptors. We have NO labs to show this as we cnanot test what is in the receptors, btu many of us have flet this clearance strongly at the 12 week pointl. -- http://nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/
