Guest guest Posted November 9, 2010 Report Share Posted November 9, 2010 my son is only 4 but i saw him in this man. i cried. i keep hoping he will grow out of his quirks but things like that bring me back to reality. My son is very high functioning pdd but i still see all of the same quirks in him as this man just on a milder level. it really makes me wonder about his future as i am an older mom at 45. I could really use a moms support group for higher functioning spectrum children. Its hard to describe but the children on the higher functioning level have the problem of not really fitting in to either category ( meaning typical and autistic) its hard to find moms who understand. don't get me wrong, I am incredibly thankful that he is who he is but that doesn't make it any easier.
