Guest guest
Hi Beth, I just read your post and what stands out to me and I am sure a lot of others is that there are still a lot of medical professionals out there that still think these symptoms are "in our heads" and that we just need to relax or whatever. All of us have problems that are not exactly the same, but have enough similarities that we can understand what the others are going through. It is very tough to have a doc not listen to you. I have been there and I am sure that everyone on this group has been there. Nobody likes to be in pain and nodoby likes to have pain with sex. I would try and call or go back and see this specialist again and just be honest about what is going on. Just because your symptoms have changed since you filled out the paperwork for the poll does not mean that they are not real. My symptoms change occasionally. All you can do is be honest and if you cannot get anywhere with this doctor, than go to another one. You have to keep trying until you find a doc that is compassionate and will listen to what is going on with you. It is very reasonable that you are having pelvic pain issues with standing for hours. Asking for a chair so you are not in pain and you can still continue to work and be comfortable is not unreasonable! Call your docs office and if they will not give you a note than request to go in and talk with the doctor. Good luck! Mindy
