Guest guest
I am hypersensitive to drugs, vitamins, everything. I'm not proud to say that in my much younger days I dabbled in various illegal substances and even then I would take about 1/4 of whatever everyone else took b/c it would affect me so much. It's the same with OTC products - they really really affect me. It's NOT in my head (which is what docs have tried to tell me). I don't know what that indicates (lack of metabolism?) but have learned the hard way to go very very slowly on ANY sort of substance. This is the second time I tried to take cortef and it just messes me up - I have really low blood pressure and it seems to make it worse. I am going to try the cream and if that is still too much will just try adrenal support - can anyone recommend a good product that might be available here in the UK? Many thanks. > > Do you typically have reactions to meds like this? I'm asking because it > sounds a lot like low cortisol symptoms as well. I pretty much feel like > this if I need to stress dose. Guest guest
What you don't understand is HC os NOT a drug. It is a hormone. The body needs a certain amount of this hormone to funciton. When you take just a little, there is a feedback loop and as the body receives this PILL at one time it lowers ACTH (the hormone that calls for MORE cortiosl) to compensate. It is this lowering effect you are feeling. The trick is ot take it more often in smaller amounts. This way you don;t lower the ACTh as much and you replace what it does lower. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets

Guest guest
Thanks Val - I appreciate the advice. I am going to try the cream to see if bypassing the digestive system helps. I just felt so weak and ill and nauseous after I took it even with eating non-stop protein to try to combat the shakiness. It's so hard to take MORE when you feel that sick. - (in UK) > What you don't understand is HC os NOT a drug. It is a hormone. The body > needs a certain amount of this hormone to funciton.
