Guest guest
I am doing ALA alone (6 mg. )and my twitching had increased ... although it has subsided today (four days post round). Nothing else ... just the twitching. We'll see what happens .... I am increasing my magnesium. > > I'm 3 days into my first round of ALA (6 mg, and DMSA 25 mg) and I feel > increasingly more fategued. This is what I was like when I first tried 5 mg ALA per dose every 3 h combined with 18 mg DMPS every 6 h. I ended up chelating for a long time with DMPS alone and now can tolerate doses of 12.5 mg ALA easily. > Is this 'normal' with such a relatively small dosage ? Guest guest
I at 16 rounds I still have problems with ala. If you did well on just dmsa, it maybe be too soon to use ala. I also do find that some side effects are par for the course, as long as they minimal and tolerable. If you feel bad, drop the AlA and finish the round out with dmsa only. And then wait a few more rounds before using ala. Also, how's your minerals? I notice muscle or bone pain when I don't take enough calcium while on dmsa. Just a thought. PS: I am 16 months post amalgam removal..and just getting into ala. It's different for all of us and depends on your blood levels of hg. If your blood levels are still too high, ALA would make you feel bad. > > I'm 3 days into my first round of ALA (6 mg, and DMSA 25 mg) and I feel > increasingly more fategued. Guest guest
Thank you (all) for answering ! A bit frustrating this. I have read about others that seems to have been much worse of than I am. But they have still managed to reach 100 mg of DMSA quite quickly (<4 months), and then added ALA and raised ALA to 100 mg as well. And here I am, 25 mg of DMSA and stuggeling with 6 mg of ALA... As ALA is what is going to make the biggest difference I really want to get started with it. Going fast in a really slow way is frustrating. I did well on DMSA the last couple of months, and my symptoms had improvd before this last round. Adding ALA has taken me back to where I was 3-4 months ago. The latest improvements makes the setback harder to manage. I guess I will end this round of with DMSA only and then try to increase my DMSA dosage some more before I try ALA again. - Kyrre > > > > I'm 3 days into my first round of ALA (6 mg, and DMSA 25 mg) and I feel > > increasingly more fategued. Guest guest
Please don't forget that there is another issue that might be involved with your experience. Over the years, there have been many people on this site who reported a setback at about 6 months after amalgam removal and the beginning of the DMSA, then DMSA + ALA process. There seems to be a phenomenon where your body just begins to dump the mercury on its own. Your dosage of DMSA + ALA needs to be reduced to keep the process under control. (Too much mercury is being chelated.) Reduce the DMSA + ALA dose to keep your symptoms tolerable. Then in about 2 months you should find that you can start increasing again and you are not creating problems for yourself. Patience is one of your most valuable skills to apply with this program. I did it for 2 years. It does work. Keep a positive attitude and know that you are removing a poison that took years of exposure to imbed itself so deeply in your system. Here's to your success Sir. Guest guest
--- Hi Kyrre I have been chelating with 25mgs DMSA for 6 months now and still can not tolerate any ALA. So try not to be too disheartened! I don't even feel any better yet but then I am in this for the long haul. I know of others here who chelated for well over a year on low doses of DMSA or DMPS before they could tolerate ALA. Guest guest
Hi! I thought that was part of the reason why one should take DMSA, to catch the mercury the body releases into the blood so that it is removed and not redistributed. DMSA only hasn't been a problem for me, except for the first few rounds. Lately I think I can say that I have felt better on than off. The first round of DMSA+ALA made me feel somewhat in the same way the first rounds of DMSA did, only stronger. My current plan is to do a few more rounds of DMSA only, and hopefully raise the dosage a little, before I try ALA again. Best regards, Kyrre > > Please don't forget that there is another issue that > might be involved with your experience.
