Guest guest
Hi, there. Just last week I had a FT3 test and a RT3 test through www. lef.org. After looking at other web site labs, they had the best price. It cost me $73.33 for the RT3 and $41.33 for the FT3. If you just did a FT3 lab and didn't change your meds, you probably won't need to do the FT3. At LEF, they do have a membership program but you don't need to join. You get a better price with membership, but if you have insurance to usually cover your blood tests, you won't need the membership. Good luck. Subject: rT3 testing? To: RT3_T3 Date: Wednesday, June 2, 2010, 9:12 AM I had a thyroid panel drawn last week and requested an rT3 test also. Any test not done at my large medical clinic in MN is sent to Mayo. I just found out Mayo no longer does the rT3 as they consider it obsolete. Interesting??? Where can I get this test done? Can I use the current thyroid panel in conjunction with a new rT3. Economics are an issue for me. My random temps are low and all over the place. Lowest was yesterday after doing heavy yard work for 2 hours, came in exhausted, took a 1.5 hour nap, woke up cold, took my temp, 96.8. Yikes!! Saliva tests from 2 years ago showed stage Maladapted Phase II. 6 months after being on vits and supps retest showed Non-adapted, Low Reserves. Since then went on protocol of glandular extracts and supps, back to Mal-Phase II and not feeling strong or well. Stopped that and am now on 20 mg HC, dosed 7.5, 7.5, 5, and 3 mg LDN, plus a mercury detox, candida kill, and other things, so a saliva test today will be no of value. I do not feel like I can go off HC at this time, it is helping. I have been taking Armour thyroid (now compounded) for over 10 years. Has been monitored according to lab numbers. So, right now I would like to test for rT3, but where to get it? I can get a ferritin and iron panel with another draw. I should be able to do the temp charting next week. Any other suggestions?
