Guest guest
Judy your welcome i already made a note to ask my transplant doc about what would happen if...after the transplant thanks for your input Pink Joyce IPF 3/06 Pennsylvania Donate Life Subject: To Joyce re Stomach ProblemsTo: Breathe-Support Date: Tuesday, January 6, 2009, 12:29 PM Joyce, Thanks for your info re CellCept and a stomach virus. I intend to email another question to my lung coordinator about this. The antibiotic Flaygl that the gastro doctor prescribed has not helped so it must not be a bacteria in my body. My lung coordinator wrote to me yesterday sayingtmy lung doctor was going to again review my meds to see if they could be regrouped. Since I had the transplant in Aug. 07 I have been on 1000 mg of CellCept twice a day. Since I have been having the stomach problems it about gags me every day just to swallow my pills, but I do it as it is a must.Love and Aloha, Judyohio IPF 11/06 TX 8/
Guest guest
For those who have had transplants or about to, could you tell me what qualifications/criteria did you have to go thru to get on a list, then ultimately have the transplant? It is difficult to know what I can do at this point. I won't take prednisone. I feel the side effects are much worse then how much it could help. Not being able to look into the future I hope I can benefit from talking with others who have traveled the road already. It is sad to know how many have. Thanks for any help. Guest guest
Sandy you need to talk to your pulmonary doc and your transplant doc about whether or not you would be eligible for a transplant every person is different and it would be wrong for us to give you information that does not pertain to you we can only talk about our personal experiences and what we have read in the literature there has been a lot of discussion on the board about prednisone--pro and con as for me, the benefits outweigh the side effects after a transplant, prednisone is one of the immunos that is given, so at that time, i think there is no choice my transplant eval was 3 days outpatient, the follow-up appt was about a month later side note: prednisone has kept both Jerry and my daughter alive with their inflamatory bowel diseases for many many many years Pink Joyce IPF 3/06 Pennsylvania Donate Life From: cbayjpw <cbayjpw (AT) yahoo (DOT) com>Subject: To Joyce re Stomach ProblemsTo: Breathe-Support@ yahoogroups. comDate: Tuesday, January 6, 2009, 12:29 PM Joyce, Thanks for your info re CellCept and a stomach virus.
