Yep, it does have artificial coloring. Since my grandkids have reactions to artificial foods dyes it's a no-no at this house. Besides homemade is so darned good! I think the "boxed" mac and cheese (funny to think of it as "foreign"food!!! :-D ) has food coloring for that weird orange-ness. I think it'sto add to the impression of "cheez". Mercy on us, my son used to eat thatstuff by the boxful.... You should try out your recipe! There is a world of difference betweenthe "kit" and the real thing!
