Guest guest
I apply the cream on the vulva inside and out. Not inside the vagina. The first one was just Testosterone that was 2% cream. The new one I got was Estrogen and Testosterone 3% each. I have a doc appointment tomorrow with a new doc to find out the results of my latest hormone test. This will be interesting! susanStart the year off right. Guest guest
I'm also a believer in using hormones. Estrogen has been the best one for me. Since I began using an Estrogen patch I don't use the Testosterone Cream on my vulvar area anymore. I probably will though as my levels fall when I get a little older. For those who are new to the group...I'll send in some info on the benefits of using hormones for vulvar pain. Not everyone will need hormones to help with their vulvar or bladder issues... but for some of us, they have been a terrific help. Especially if you have used oral contraceptives. Guest guest
Hi : Did the testosterone have any effect on your libido? I have not gotten any of the benefits that you have from the T. (I'm jeleous) I was hoping for an increase in sex drive, but it hasn't happened. Guest guest
, Sorry --i was thinking that you were using it non-vulvarally (a new word), which is why i was asking about application locations. I'd be very interested in knowing what your levels are after having used a 3% combo. That's a pretty high percentage of T (at least, according to Vliet), though since it's only being applied to the vulva it may not translate to being all that high systemically. If you feel like posting the results, i'd love to see them. I have been using E & T on my vulva for over a year now, as well as sublingual E2 -- all compounded in emu oil -- but due to a very high SHBG (apparently a fair amount of my sublingual is going down my throat. . .), i decided to switch over to transdermal E and add transdermal systemic T, since my total and free T are low. I'll be starting that soon -- and that's why i'm interested in where people are applying it. Hollis ===================== From: blueeberri@... Guest guest
Sherri, I can't remember if you ever said, but. . . did you have follow-up blood work for the T and did it go up to a nice healthy level with still no increase in libido? Guest guest
I am getting a hormone test done this month thru my homeopath. All my pain started after I lost 30 pounds by jogging. Never a runner before, I worked my way up to 5 miles a day, alot of it was uphill. I have to think its loss of estrogen with the weight loss or just the physical stress of jogging that took a toll on my body that contributed to my pain. CStart the year off right. Guest guest
, I'm feeling too lazy to dig out the reports right now to give you the exact figures, but i think my total t has been hovering in the 40's -- within the supposed " normal " range, but lowish. More crucially, though, my free t has been consistently below range. I'm hoping that switching to transdermal e application will lower my shbg over time and allow (along with the transdermal t being added) my t levels to rise. A complication is that i'm dealing with hair loss and a LOT of my total t is converting to dht, which leads to the loss. So i'm kind of nervous about doing this, but am hoping if i up my intake of things, like evening primrose and borage oil that supposedly block this conversion, i may be ok. We'll see.
