Robin, I'm confused. Glucophage is not insulin, are you taking insulin also?

Insulin is only available by injections.

Hi, I'm Robin - a newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic on about 500 mg of

glucophage per day. I take 250 with breakfast and 250 with dinner, then after a

month of keeping blood test levels my Dr will decide if I need more or not. I

do have a questin - I've noticed that I have gone from eating everything in

site, and actually shaking if I don't get something NOW, to wanting almost

nothing since I started the insulin. I have a horrible time thinking of

something I actually want, and then seldom finish it. Is this temporary? I

don't feel too bad - I just have no appetite. I sure hope this reaction sticks

around as I've gained 100 pounds with my eating frenzies.

One thing that happens is your body is now able to use the food you are

consuming, so that may make you less hungry.
