Guest guest
Well, I do know that long before the thought of MS ever entered the picture.. and before Earl was born.. I'd have to really really really scrub my hair when I'd get home from a day at the racetrack (I could have had spiked hair everywhere, without the use of any gels).. I would take the garden sprayer container that we used for cooling the radiator in the car between runs.. and soak my head till I was dripping.. and as soon as the hair would start to dry, I'd soak it down again.. I got through the day fairly cool, not matter what the temps were on the asphalt.. Wrapped up some ice cubes (the small ones) in a rag, and placed the rag on Bill's head under his helmet for when he was making a pass down the track -- Jet Black car in all that heat with NO windows that open!.. -- he actually said after the initial shiver when the ice water ran down his back.. it felt good!.. LOL HUGS |)onna Apparently the Swedish national canoeing team use these too, according to the MS-nurse. Probably good, I'd think they would lessen the mobility of the arms somewhat, but if they can keep the paddler from over-heating it's probably worth it. Or, well, I suppose since they do use them they do consider them worth it... The company making these cooling vests do cooling hats too. I'd be interested in trying one of those myself, on a really hot day. I use wet (cold) towels on or around my head on really hot days, around home, but you can't really were that in public unless you want to amuse/frighten people you meet... I think the cooling hat is probably a less silly/strange-looking alternative... love /Reb > > > > > > Has anyone heard from Reb?
