Guest guest
What's that old saying, " You get what you give. " I will say, however, if I'm ignored, I don't give up. I'll ask and ask again until the world is tired of hearing from me. I belong to a lot of groups and the only way to fit into any of them is to just jump in. Some of my best friends are on these groups. Tigger (Ruth) in Rhode Island _____ From: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group [mailto:Fibromyalgia_Support_Group ] On Behalf Of Kandi J. I've found a lot of really nice & welcoming people here so far ( & it's only been a couple of days). I'm sorry you're having such a bad experience. I know how you're feeling. I perused a few other groups before joining this one & thought they seemed kind of " clique-ish. " It took me a long time to decide to jump in & give it a go. I can say this...it was worth it. You should do whatever you're comfortable with, but if you decide to give this group another chance, you can message me anytime. I'm always accepting new friends! Good luck & take care... Guest guest
I have to respond to this again. We are a difficult group because so many things affect our mood and pain level. There are days I look at my laptop (remember laptop that can go to bed with me if I want) and I just don't have the energy to open it. We suffer from pain, fatigue, frustration and my favorite, the desire to choke the life out of most doctors. Like I said we are a difficult group because although we all have the same general diagnosis, we sometimes manifest it in different ways. Me, I want to hide under the blanket and never be found. I hurt today something awful and my Chronic Fatigue is acting up. and it doesn't help that I was up most of the night going to the bathroom. We need to be treated with more patience than most. not because of who we are, but because of what we endure. I'm done here and will be canceling this group out! I found a > much better one where the people actually talk to you so good bye > and I > hope you all get things worked out one day. , I've just spent about 45 minutes sitting at the computer, which is painful for me, carefully composing a long, (hopefully) encouraging and (hopefully) helpful response to your long post. I'm in a bad flare, second or third this week, and more than a bit grumpy at reading the above post. Between this and another Fibro group, I get hundreds and hundreds of messages a day. There's no way on <insert name of deity here>'s green earth that I can hope to read all of them. The most I can do is browse a few each day, and respond when I can. I end up deleting the vast majority after a few weeks. Right now I'm 1190 messages behind on this group and that's just since Feb. 28. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds this true. Dad-gummit, you're not the only one who is in pain or has a rough time. If there's anything I've learned in my months on this group, it's how fortunate I am to have those treasured " good " days, and how much courage and strength the people here have. I feel humbled and privileged to be part of this group. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out. Z (There. I've said something mean.)
