Guest guest
Eva, the best advice I can give you is to pay close attention to your body and go with your gut instinct. I've known in my heart that "hormones" are a big factor for me and it's so true. The hard part is you have to be willing to try different things until you find what works for you. I personally LOVE the Estrace cream used topically and I always use Lidocaine before sex. Both have helped me a lot. Coming off the pill helped me, too. I've had absolutely NO side effects from the Estrace myself. It took a few months, but it slowly rebuilt my poor vulvar tissue that was in bad shape at the time. You only use a pea size dab and rub it in gently for about a minute in the vestibule area or area most affected for you personally. I started out using it almost every day...then went to a maintenance of twice a week. I started using it 2.5 yrs. ago. The birth control option is a hard one. I've had my kids and don't plan on having anymore...you may want to re-post and ask others that question.... sorry! All I know is that the pill definitely can 'cause' Vestibulitis and that the higher progestin (synthetic progesterone) pills are NOT good! 'Most' of them are higher in progestin. The one that has the very least progestin activity is Ovcon 35. You don't sound like a broken record...you're doing what every one of us has had to do...LEARN all you can to help yourself.
